When working on many marketing projects whether it be with an agency, designer, or printer you will find yourself needing to send large files.  These files are generally too large to send through email or fit just below the size requirements but will eventually take up all of your email storage.  This is where Dropbox comes in.  Dropbox allows users to upload files and send direct download links to anyone through email.  While there are many similar services, Dropbox is widely used which increases the chances that the person you are collaborating with already has a Dropbox account as well.  Most jobs can usually be done with a free account if you delete old files from time to time.  If you need to store many large files for a long period of time, Dropbox does offer paid accounts starting at $8.25/month for 1 TB of storage.  Sign up for Dropbox to make your file sharing a breeze. Freebie Friday – Rapportive

This week’s Freebie Friday features a free software called Rapportive.  Unfortunately, this software is only available for those who use Gmail or G Suite as their email platform.  Because of this reason, I considered crossing it off the Freebie Friday list, however, I felt it was a great enough software to highlight for those who can take advantage of it. Rapportive allows you to create a connection between your email desktop and your LinkedIn account.  Simply download the software, connect your existing LinkedIn account and you are set to go. Now, every time you send or receive an email, the corresponding LinkedIn account overview of anyone on the mailing will appear on the right hand side of the screen.  This information will include the person’s LinkedIn photo, location, current employer and title.  If you are not already connected to this person on LinkedIn, you can add them instantly, without having to leave your email inbox.
